On August 26, 2025, following the success of the training session in Hanoi, the Green Export Incubation and Acceleration (GEVA) Program continued in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of many Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Saigon Center for Import-Export Training & Consulting (SIMEX) was honored to accompany the initiative and deliver training within the program.
The GEVA Project is an initiative funded by the Swiss Government, managed by the International Trade Centre (ITC), and operated by KisStartup JSC from April 2025 to April 2026. The program aims to strengthen the green export capacity of Vietnamese enterprises through the adoption of Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) – a key trend in sustainable trade increasingly emphasized worldwide.
During the training, Mr. Le Sai Gon – SIMEX expert, delivered practical, engaging, and highly relevant modules, equipping enterprises with updated knowledge on green export and receiving positive feedback from participants.
The program offers tangible benefits, including:
-
Enhancing knowledge and capacity in green export: in-depth training on sustainable supply chains, green consumer markets, and international VSS certifications.
-
Boosting competitiveness and profitability: improving production processes, reducing costs, and enhancing brand reputation through VSS compliance.
-
Expanding global business networks: connecting with domestic and international experts, global buyers, investors, and organizations supporting green export.
-
Specialized support for selected sectors: enterprises in Spices, Coffee, and Nuts may receive six months of tailored technical assistance and funding, guided by leading experts in sustainable trade and development.
In the context of the global transition toward a green and circular economy, compliance with VSS has become a prerequisite for Vietnamese products to penetrate demanding markets such as Europe, the United States, and Japan. VSS serves not only as a “passport” for Vietnamese goods to reach the world but also as a driving force to strengthen internal capacity and contribute to the sustainable development of the nation’s agriculture and export sector.
