After more than two months of online training, SIMEX has successfully completed the “Advanced Import–Export Operations” program for the staff of Wilmar Agro Vietnam Co., Ltd. The course consisted of 12 sessions (24 training hours) and was tailored specifically to the operational needs and workflow characteristics of Wilmar’s Planning, Procurement, Contract, Legal, and Import–Export departments.
Wilmar International Limited is Asia’s leading agribusiness group, operating in over 30 countries with an integrated value chain spanning from cultivation and processing to refining and distribution. In Vietnam, Wilmar Agro Vietnam is well recognized in the sectors of edible oils, industrial ingredients, and agricultural commodities. With its large scale and high standards in corporate governance, Wilmar consistently prioritizes developing its workforce through intensive and specialized training programs.
Training Content Overview
The program covered six core modules, all designed to closely reflect real-world operations:

International Payment Methods (T/T, L/C, D/P, D/A, CAD) – document verification, debt control, and risk mitigation strategies.

Liner Shipping & Container Transport – booking, SI, B/L, freight charges, surcharges, and working with forwarders and shipping lines.

Rules of Origin & Certificates of Origin (C/O) – determining product origin, completing forms, and submitting applications online.

HS Code – Customs Valuation – Import/Export Taxation – classification principles, tax calculations, and customs valuation practices.

Customs Procedures – VNACCS Electronic Clearance – hands-on declaration exercises for various import–export types.

Intellectual Property in International Trade – royalties, licensing fees, and implications for customs valuation.
Each session combined theory, real case studies, and practical exercises using actual documents and operational scenarios from Wilmar.
Upon completion, Wilmar’s trainees were able to:

Master the full workflow of import–export operations;

Confidently review and process critical documents such as B/L, Invoice, Packing List, and C/O;

Reduce risks in international payment and freight operations;

Deepen their understanding of customs regulations, taxation, and intellectual property requirements;

Strengthen cross-functional coordination throughout the supply chain.
