Dong Nai, July 2025 – Saigon Import-Export Training and Consulting Center (SIMEX) successfully conducted a specialized training program titled "CUSTOMS DECLARATION AND FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS" for the staff and employees of Hyosung Dong Nai Co., Ltd., HS Hyosung Vietnam Co., Ltd., Vina Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd., and Hyosung Dong Nai Nylon Co., Ltd. The course was meticulously designed to enhance the capabilities and practical skills of the personnel in the fields of import-export and customs procedures.
Training Objectives and Duration
The intensive 4-day training course, with 8 hours each day, aimed to achieve the following specific objectives:

Enable participants to understand and proficiently prepare a complete set of documents for export shipments, as well as declare import-export customs procedures.

Address in-depth professional issues in import-export and customs for each shipment.

Bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical work in import-export and customs.
Additionally, SIMEX provided in-depth consultation for specific operational issues arising at HYOSUNG DONG NAI.
In-depth Training Content
The training program delved into several critical aspects, including:

Consolidating Import-Export Operations Knowledge: Participants reinforced their understanding of essential import-export documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (C/O), Bill of Lading, Certificate of Fumigation, Certificate of Phytosanitary, Certificate of Insurance, and various types of import-export licenses.

Specializing in Customs Procedures: The training covered Vietnam's import-export goods management policies, lists of prohibited import-export goods, goods under the management of specialized ministries, and specialized inspection activities on the national single window portal. Participants were also guided on principles for looking up and applying HS codes, customs valuation and import-export taxes, along with experience in customs valuation consultation and working with customs departments.

Practical Electronic Customs Declaration: The course placed a special focus on guiding and practicing electronic customs declaration transmission for both export and import goods, particularly for items such as tire cord fabric, Spandex, Nylon, and Polyester. Participants acquired skills in installing customs declaration software, checking VNACCS information and Token digital signatures, reading and preparing documents, drafting declarations, calculating taxes, transmitting official declarations, and handling declaration amendment scenarios (channeling, post-clearance). Declaration types practiced included business import-export (sea FCL, sea LCL, air), on-the-spot import-export, processing, export production, and non-commercial goods.

Freight Forwarding Operations at Ports and Airports: The program specifically analyzed FCL and LCL import-export cargo handling procedures at key locations such as Cat Lai Port, ICDs, and Tan Son Nhat Airport. It also provided insights into working with customs, container trucking units, and port commercial departments. Participants also learned and practiced the SNP system's Eport, as well as how to handle additional charges outside regulations.
